Discover how fun learning can be with games and surprises!
Math is the language of numbers! It’s like playing with building blocks—stacking them up, taking some away, or sharing them equally.
Addition means putting things together. Imagine you have 3 candies, and your friend gives you 2 more. Now you count all your candies: 3 + 2 = 5! Adding makes more!
Subtraction means taking away. If you start with 7 cookies and eat 3, how many are left? 7 - 3 = 4. Taking away means less!
Multiplication is adding groups of the same size. Picture this: You have 3 baskets, and each basket has 4 apples. How many apples do you have in total? 3 Ă— 4 = 12. Groups make it grow!
Division means splitting into equal parts. If you have 10 stickers and want to share them with 2 friends, everyone gets 10 Ă· 2 = 5. Sharing makes everyone happy!
Let’s try one together!
Q: Lucy has 8 balloons. She gives 3 balloons to her brother. How many does she keep?
A: Subtraction time! 8 - 3 = 5. Lucy keeps 5 balloons.
Yay!
