Repeat until you’ve added it all!

We want to add 123 + 456. Here’s how:

• Step 1: Write the numbers down:

  +456
• Step 2: Start with the ones place: 3 + 6 = 9.
• Step 3: Move to the tens place: 2 + 5 = 7.
• Step 4: Finally, the hundreds place: 1 + 4 = 5.

Now put it all together: 123 + 456 = 579. Yay!
