Number Friends That Add Up
Numbers love to make friends!
When two numbers join together (add up), they make a new number. Today we'll explore all the different
pairs of numbers that add up to numbers from 1 to 10. These are called "number bonds" - they show how
numbers are connected!

Parent Tips 🌟
- Use everyday objects: Have your child practice with toys, snacks, or coins - "If you have 3 grapes and I give you 2 more, how many do you have?"
- Make it a game: Play "Make 10" with playing cards (remove face cards) where players find pairs that add to 10.
- Celebrate mistakes: When your child gets an answer wrong, say "Great try! Let's figure out why together" to encourage learning from errors.
