What Are Patterns?
Patterns are everywhere!
A pattern is when colors, shapes, numbers, or objects repeat in a special order.
Look around - you'll find patterns on clothes, in nature, and even in your toys!
How to Describe Patterns
1️⃣ Look at the sequence carefully
2️⃣ Find what repeats (the pattern core)
3️⃣ Continue the pattern with what comes next

Parent Tips 🌟
- Pattern Hunt: Go on a pattern scavenger hunt around your home or neighborhood. Look for patterns in tiles, fabrics, or nature!
- Create Patterns: Use everyday items like buttons, cereal, or toys to make patterns together. Start simple (ABAB) then try more complex patterns (AABBAABB).
- Clap Patterns: Make sound patterns by clapping or tapping (clap-clap-stomp, clap-clap-stomp). This helps children hear patterns too!
