Understanding Number Comparison
Numbers can be friends who like to play "who's bigger?" games!
When we compare numbers, we use special symbols to show which number is greater, which is smaller, or if they're equal. It's like a seesaw where the bigger number goes down!
How to Compare Numbers
1️⃣ Look at the tens place first (the left digit)
2️⃣ If tens are equal, look at the ones place (the right digit)
3️⃣ Choose the correct symbol: > (greater), < (less), or = (equal)

Parent Tips 🌟
- Play number card games: Use playing cards (remove face cards) to compare numbers. Deal two cards and have your child say which is greater.
- Real-world comparisons: Compare prices at the store ("Which costs more: 75¢ or 90¢?"), ages ("Is Grandma 68 or 86 years old?"), or pages in books.
- Use visual aids: Draw number lines or use blocks to physically show why 43 is greater than 34 by comparing tens first.
