What is Skip Counting?
Skip counting is like taking big jumps with numbers!
Instead of counting 1, 2, 3, 4... we can count by twos (2, 4, 6, 8...), fives (5, 10, 15, 20...), or tens (10, 20, 30...). It helps us count faster and is super useful for telling time, counting money, and more!
How to Skip Count
1️⃣ Start with your first number (like 2, 5, or 10)
2️⃣ Jump by that same amount each time
3️⃣ Say the numbers out loud as you go!
Let's Practice Together!

30?4045?
Parent Tips 🌟
- Make it musical: Sing counting songs or chants to help remember the patterns ("2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate?")
- Everyday counting: Practice during daily activities - count stairs by twos, count nickels by fives, count dimes by tens
- Hopscotch counting: Draw a hopscotch grid with skip counting numbers and jump while counting out loud
